Completed two Autumn designs for Alpine Kneedles, a small clothing store in Simcoe, Ontario. The owner wanted to try and expand their customer base from feminine to unisex.
The pumpkin spice design came out of that, combining the stereotypical pumpkin spice latte with a metal aesthetic — the owner and I both love metal, so this was a lot of fun. It was actually so successful the design ended up being put on a coffee mug a few weeks later, also pictured below.
The second design was influenced by Ouija boards. I had visited Salem over the summer and loved the Ouija museum there. I studied lots of old boards and went for a handmade aesthetic with this design — the patterns are actually woodblocks printed by hand and then scanned.
